Liverpool stars Ibrahima Konate, Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai are all good friends on the pitch… but it seems their competitive spirit hits a new height as they started work in a donut shop.

The Reds trio visited The Bagelry as part of a partnership with VistaPrint – and they were tasked with showing off their sales skills to unsuspecting fans.

The trio had donuts on the counter with their respective squad numbers on and it was their job to convince fans to pick their numbered donut.

Konate, Gravenberch and Szoboszlai are working on a ‘work experience’ series which spotlights small businesses in the local area.

In a video circulating on social media, the trio get very competitive as they show off their sales patter.

Gravenberch is first to make his pitch when the fan approaches the counter.

‘In your eyes, I see you like this one,’ the midfielder says, pointing at his donut.

Immediately Konate isn’t having it.

‘Listen, listen, listen…’ the French centre back says.

‘You are big like me, you need to eat like me! Konate insists.

Szoboszlai’s most convincing argument is that his No 8 is the only number that appears in two separate donuts.

He then goes on to claim that his donut is the tastiest of all.

The fan eventually has to make a decision and he plucks to side with Konate, much to the frustration of the two midfielders.

The competitive trio disagreed on who they felt was offering the fan the best donut available

Gravenberch was left disappointed when the fan decided to side with centre back Konate
