Arsenal duo Folarin Balogun and Kieran Tierney are both set for medicals ahead of their prospective moves away from the Premier League.

Striker Balogun will undergo medical tests ahead of his £38.5m move to Ligue 1 side AS Monaco after impressing in the same league last year.

The 22-year-old had a strong loan at Reims last year, scoring 21 goals and finishing fifth in the race for the golden boot.

Meanwhile, Scotland international Tierney is also nearing an exit from North London as he will undergo a medical before joining La Liga side Real Sociedad on loan.

The left back has made 124 appearances for the Gunners since his arrival from Celtic in 2019, but with chances becoming increasingly few and far between under Mikel Arteta he is being moved on.

Arsenal are keen to sell the left back permanently, but Sociedad are currently only looking at a loan move.

Neither Tierney nor Balogun have featured in any of Arsenal’s Premier League squads so far this season.

Eddie Nketiah has started both games ahead of USA international Balogun, despite first-choice striker Gabriel Jesus being out injured.

Balogun came through the Arsenal acadamy and was prolific at junior level for both club and country, before switching allegiance to play senior football for the USA.

The American striker had attracted interest from London rivals Chelsea, with Inter Milan also enquiring this summer.
